Why did eBay removed my listing due to Copyright violation claims for listing this product?

I’m an authorized retailer and I dropship from wholesale company like SED Distribution WorldWide and others. And as part as testing my business, I list Adobe Photoshop CS4 Pro Edition on eBay. It’s not counterfeited or used and I order it from the wholesale company who are authorized to dropship to my customer by the manufacturer. However, eBay claimed I violated the copyright for selling it to people. and that my listing ended.

What’s wrong with eBay?

You did not violate Copyright law if you sale genuine products. If this is true that you’re a retailer and you dropship Original Adobe products, then I don’t see why you would be getting this message. The reason why you received that letter and your listing has been removed was because eBay sucks. eBay lied to you about this to rip you off and the only one who makes money on eBay are the rip off people. Their bogus policies sucks too.

Stay away from eBay. Get your own website or sell on Amazon. It’s much better.

I am thinking about selling items on ebay via dropshipping but, because i am new to this type of business I am not sure of any good, reliable wholesale/dropshipping sites to use. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am looking to sell electronics mostly. Thanks

There are many dropshipping suppliers across the world. You didn’t mention your country. Your best option would be to find them from a B2B website such as http://catalogs.indiamart.com/ which will also let you contact the suppliers for free.

I am trying to start my own website using dropshipping but i need to know if there is anyway to know when a dropshipping site is fake?

some time last year, some KNUCKLEHEAD "invented"
a new business by not inventing anything at all.

There is no such thing as a "drop shipper" as you describe it.

A drop shipper is ANY manufacturer or wholesaler who is willing to
do business with you–or anyone else.

A manufacturer prefers to sell in bulk to wholesalers who guarantee
the manufacture large sales. Some manufacturers work on the
production matrix carefully and like DELL, make FINISHED goods
on prepaid order only.

Dell, of course, drop ships. IF you wish to buy in a consistent way,
and your credit is good, ……..or you pre-screen your clients and
know they will pay you or the manufacturer, you will be
able to "connect up" with as many drop shippers –manufacturers
as you wish.

To, therefore, seek out "drop shippers" per se, is the best way
I know of to get screwed………cause you are looking sideways
at a business process…….not the way it actually works.

YOU are dealing with wholesalers and anyone can call themselves
a wholesaler. UNTIL you know that a wholesaler has a contract
and "relationship" with a manufacturer, you are likely not
dealing with a true drop shipper.

I sell on ebay and I have been buying and selling game systems and various electronics. It’s very hard and time consuming for me to buy and resell and ship these items. I heard about wholesale dropshipping and don’t want to get myself involved in a scam. are there any legitimate sites that anyone knows of where I can get started with this?

It depends what you mean by legitimate. There are plenty of drop shipping companies that will actually deliver your goods and do what they claim. So, in this sense they are legitimate.

For electronics there are even companies that dropship directly from China like:

For 12-Volt electronics (auto, etc) there is a good source:
twhouse.com

But, I would be careful with drop shipping. The profit margins are always slim and there is a ton of competition - especially in electronics. On eBay you are really going to get into trouble (see http://www.dropshippingsucks.com ) because there is very little wiggle-room.

If you are going to dropship on eBay (YIKES) find some more obscure niches and target those. Many times with larger items (large size / price) the manufacturer drop ships directly. Look for some of those.

However, sellers will be stuck paying for the listing fee – even if the bidder doesn’t honor their bid.

Tip 7: Show appreciation to your customers. If possible, include a free gift with every purchase. Whether it’s a small picture calendar or other gesture, buyers will love the added surprise.

Tip 8: After the transaction is complete, buyers and sellers should always exchange feedback for one another. Everyone loves to increase their reputation and build trust within the auction community.
