I am starting a new business and wondered if someone could help me with a question?
I am looking to start a new business. Obviously I need to see if this is going to be lucrative for me. I have been trying to get accurate pricing but am unable to get a wholesale price without a wholesale license. I don’t want to file for my licenses unless I know if it’s going to be worth it. Is there an industry secret that I am not aware of. Is there any way to get wholesale pricing from a vendor without a license? The material is organic cotton.

Well you could say your an independent sales man and you want to know what type of discount you will get for selling the commodity. I’m not sure how cotton is sold but they will probably have a discount schedule based on quantity purchased/sold.

Call the Co. you want to deal with direct and talk to someone in sales. Tell them what you are doing and how much at a time you are going to buy. Also let them know that you have called other company’s for price and you are looking for a fair price and are will to sign a 1 year contract if the price is rt! All the contract does for you is lock in your price when you buy from them until the 1 yr is up. After that you must renegotiate your terms.
