I have looked at wholesale lots on ebay, like 4 30gb video ipods for $100. How can people sell ipods at that low of a price and if they do, I don’t think they are making money, I think they are actually losing money from that. Could someone please explain how they can sell at that low of a price and should if I see something like that, should I buy it?
Also, I see 30gb video ipods and 30gb creative vision w mp3 players for $100-$150. Should I buy it if it is way below what the regular price is, like 100 to 200 dollars?
I did an ebay search and typed ipod lot 30gb, all I saw were lots that had this listed in the description.
"SOLD AS-IS, *THESE UNITS ARE DAMAGED and/or NON-FUNCTIONAL* "
Make sure you read the entire auction description, the return policy, and the feedback comments. Always pay with a credit card in case you have any problems.

Horaayy..there are 5 comment(s) for me so far ;)
I don’t trust those lot deals, just for the reason you state, the deal is too good.
Look at the person’s feedback first and see if they have a good rating.

Keep in mind that there is a small percentage of items on ebay that is stolen ‘non-traceable’ merchadise, either from retailers or from private homes.
There is alos a small percentage of merchandise on ebay that is knock-offs. This is especially true of women’s wear and accesories.
But always check the feedback ratings of the sellers and, if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is………………..
But if the items are located in China and the seller’s feedback rating is good, it’s probably the real deal.

Drizzt,
that is a really high fraud area of ebay. most of what you are seeing are scams! many are listed on HIJACKED ACCOUNTS and don’t even exist!
save your money and steer clear of them!
sammie,
as to this:
"have you ever heard of drop-shipping? its how all those powerselllers on eBay make money, and as you can see its very profitable."
WRONG! most good sellers on ebay know to AVOID dropshipping like the plague!
"if your looking for cheap, legitimate and reliable suppliers, http://www.direct-wholesale.net... gives reviews of wholesalers and the such."
dropshipping is the absolute worst way to find products!
"you should try finding asian wholesalers, since everything is made there, you can buy really cheap products at wholesale prices."
the Asians are the biggest scammers on ebay! we deal with the problems caused by them all day long on the Trust and Safety board! i wouldn’t touch anything from Asia!
90% of all designer items on ebay are FAKES and COUNTERFEITS brought to you by courtesy of the Asian Scammers!
as to this:

again, wrong!
the Chinese are notorious for feedback buying rings. then they all list nonexistent crap. the feedback may look good, but most of it isn’t real.

Trust and Safety Board poster on ebay
It could be:
(1) Stolen goods
(2) Poor quality goods produced under cheap labor in third world countries
(3) Something that someone doesn’t use and just wants to get rid of it and is willing to take a low price
By the way, if you want to know a way to get money back every time you buy something from Ebay, then send me an email.
