August 30, 2009I made a sale on ebay and the buyer submitted payment by paypal which is now pending. I use a dropship company so I ussualy dont ship until payment has cleared. I called PayPal and they said e-Bay has decided that the payment go pending for 21 days OR I can ship now and provide a tracking # to get the money in 3 days or it will clear when the buyer leaves feedback. I asked what happens if I ship and the payment doesnt clear like a NSF? She said that the funds WILL clear if I ship it just doesnt make sence to me? the amount was only for $43.00 and I use a dropship company so I have to pay out of pocket for the item and I do not get a tracking number from the Drop Shipper just a confirmation for the order being placed I have $10.00 to my name and I am not working because I am pregnant and my husband just lost his job 2 weeks ago I cant afford to do this also the buyer has a feedback score of 0 that REALLY scares me
I am a new seller on ebay my husband and I just started but I have feeback score of 100% with 44 feedbacks and 12 detailed Seller feedbacks and Im waiting for the 9 other buyer to leave me seller feedback
I would NEVER ship an item until payment was in my hand or at least in my paypal account. There is no reason for you to be out of pocket any money. I’ve never had a paypal payment take 21 days. Sounds fishy…Since when does ebay control paypal funds? I would contact the buyer and see how they deposited the money

Me personally. I would make sure I had money in hand before shipping anything. I have made mistakes on ebay but have learned from them. So on the next items you sell make it clear in payment options..WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL PAYMENT IS MADE IN FULL. I feel once item is shipped they can cancel the transaction and your out item and money. Alot of scammers out there so yea if there score is 0. be scared. P.s. good luck on husband finding job i lost mine also…i wish you all the best of luck.

Never ship before you get the funds.
Tell the buyer about the 21 day wait time and ask them if they want to pay a different way.
